Roy M. Brown

This building is dedicated in memory of Roy M. Brown. He was born March 14, 1935 in Gilmer, Texas and went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2019. Roy M. Brown is remembered for his enthusiasm, spiritual gift of encouragement, love of family, and the Godly example he showed in his life and marriage. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Helen Green Brown of Gilmer, Texas, son Roy Brown, and twin sons Kenneth and Kevin Brown.

Grandchildren: Weston and Allison Brown of New Braunfels, Jamin and Blair Jones of New Braunfels, and Leigh Ashley Brown of Mineola; and great grandchildren.

Brother Roy was a prominent and outstanding citizen who made a significant investment in the local schools and business community. Our center and the ministry of Open Door Pregnancy Center greatly benefitted from his love and support. He was a pillar of stability as this organization was in its early foundational years. We are forever grateful for the time we shared with him. Our hearts long for the day that he welcomes us into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ with one of his famous Roy Brown hugs.
